Board of Directors

Atlanta, GA | February 7, 2022 -- Atlanta based all-natural, handcrafted, body care company Founder & President, Tammie T. Brooks, has been named to the Board of Directors for Community Farmers Market (CFM).

Taking inspiration from her southern roots, and her first granddaughter, Nova Monroe, the namesake company, 68th & Monroe, was founded in 2018.  For Tammie, there is simply no compromise when it comes formulating products for her customers. "All of our products are made with natural or organic ingredients and locally sourced, wherever possible," Tammie notes. "All products are free of parabens, sulfates and fragrance. That is our promise! “Our goal…to take your skin back to a simpler time.”

About Community Farmers Market

Community Farmers Markets, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 2011 by leaders in the local food movement in Atlanta, GA to meet the demand for more efficiently managed, community-based, sustainable farmers markets. These stakeholders included farmers and local leaders who worked for a more vibrant local food system and who have special interest, talents, or resources to build a stronger local food movement.

CFM leverages strong partnerships with mission-critical partners in the communities and the city at large to carry out programs. CFM’s markets and models have had an extensive impact on the local food system in Atlanta. Our founding market, the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market, was the first market in the state to accept food stamps and the first to pilot the Wholesome Wave Georgia double food stamps program.  In 2020, CFM served over 69,500 in person shoppers and over 136 vendors at weekly markets, and vendors reported earning over $1 million at the farmers markets.
